The wine list
On the occasion of the Feria des Vendanges, we asked a few Nîmes wine merchants or wine bars to tell us which Costières de Nîmes wine they would serve to their friends in a festive context.
Emmanuel Leblay – La Pie qui couette
“If it had to be a red, I would open a bottle of the Nîmois ni toi vintage from Château Guiot. The name is cool and what’s inside is even nicer! A real counter wine, which can be enjoyed with a platter of Iberian charcuterie or porcini mushroom antipasti.”
Émilie Gimbert – Art et Vin
“As it is still very warm in September, I would rather opt for a white, for example the Tradition cuvée from Château L’Ermite d’Auzan. The wine is fresh and fruity, ideal to accompany tapas. In addition, the 2015, a sunny vintage, is very fragrant.”
Laurent Vignal – Carré Jazz
“I like the reds from Mas des Bressades, which have beautiful notes of garrigue and pepper. Serve with ease: with a plate of charcuterie or half a melted Camembert. »
Pascal Chotard – Les Vins de nos Pères
“I’m quite a fan of the Mille X Excellence vintage from Vignerons Créateurs. Here is a red, aged in barrels for eighteen months, which has power and body. With charcuterie, you know you’re going to enjoy it. »
