Heading for Caissargues, on the outskirts of Nîmes, to discover the new address of Vins de nos Pères, a dining cellar well known to members of the CrocoTeam!
The place
We are therefore here at the gates of Nîmes and at the very beginning of the vineyard route. The address, close to both highways, is perfect for a lunchtime canteen but also for an evening trip out of the city.
La carte
Between colleagues (lunch) or friends (in the evening), you have the choice between a (copious) board of cheese or charcuterie and “the dish of the moment”, or even a Savoyard raclette. As for wine, more than four hundred references listed, many of which are AOC Costières de Nîmes.
The tasting
On the plate, “the dish of the moment”: white pudding with beans of the same color and onion compote. The team recommends the Numa vintage from Château Guiot. Win-win agreement, the spicy side of Syrah and the small notes of jammy red fruits bringing the freshness that boudin naturally lacks.
